This is the privacy policy of Campbell Consultancy, a UK-based operational AI and automation consultancy (company registration pending; trading as a sole trader until incorporation completes). Our contact address for data matters is hello@campbellconsultancy.co.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data when you visit campbellconsultancy.co, contact us through our forms or WhatsApp, or engage us as a client. It also explains your rights under UK data protection law.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not use advertising or remarketing pixels on this site.
We collect personal data in three ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically through analytics, and information we hold as part of delivering client work.
When you submit an enquiry form, book a discovery call, download a resource, or message us on WhatsApp or by email, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message. Enquiry forms on this site are processed through Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. Formspree processes this data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, time on site, approximate location (derived from IP address, not precise location), device and browser type. Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or track individuals across sites. GA4 uses cookies to distinguish sessions; we do not run any other tracking, advertising, or remarketing cookies on this site.
If you become a client, the systems we build and operate on your behalf (CRM, automation workflows, reporting dashboards) may process personal data belonging to your customers or staff. In that relationship, you are the data controller and we act as a data processor. The terms of that processing are agreed separately in our client contract and are not covered by this public-facing policy.
We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
Consent — when you submit a form or message us, you're consenting to us using that information to respond to your enquiry.
Contract — once you become a client, we process data as necessary to deliver the agreed services.
Legitimate interests — for basic site analytics that help us understand and improve the service, where this doesn't override your right to privacy.
Legal obligation — where we're required to retain records (for example, for tax or accounting purposes).
Enquiry and contact data is kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the duration of the engagement plus a standard retention period for accounting and legal purposes (typically six years, in line with UK record-keeping requirements). If you ask us to delete your data and there's no legal reason for us to retain it, we will.
We use a small number of third-party processors to operate this site and our business: Formspree (form submissions), Google Analytics (site analytics), Cloudflare (hosting and analytics), and WhatsApp Business / Meta (where you choose to message us via WhatsApp). Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy terms and only on our instruction. We do not pass your data to any other third party, and we never sell personal data.
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare's global network, which may process data outside the UK as part of normal content delivery. Where this happens, it's covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards required under UK GDPR.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate, ask us to delete it where there's no legal reason for us to keep it, object to or restrict certain processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@campbellconsultancy.co. We'll respond within one month.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
Our services are aimed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
We'll update this policy as our practices change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of the page.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to hello@campbellconsultancy.co.
